Pregnancy and Child Health

Pregnancy

When you find out that you are pregnant you can contact the midwife team direct on 01463 704342 and they will book you an appointment. There is no need to be seen by a GP.

Your midwife will support you throughout your pregnancy and after the baby is born until your care is handed over to the Health Visitor.

Ready Steady Baby!

Your guide to pregnancy, labour and birth and early parenthood up to 8 weeks.

Your 6 week check

When your baby is around 6 weeks old, you will be asked to book an appointment with the GP. All mums and babies have this 6-week check.

It helps make sure that you are both healthy and any issues are picked up early. You can ask any questions and to talk about how you’re feeling.

Phone the practice on 01463 793400 and we will arrange this for you.

Childhood Vaccinations

All childhood vaccinations are arranged by the Health Board and are no longer done in the practice.

For all information on childhood vaccinations please visit the NHS Highland website.
