GP Registrars/ Medical Students

The surgery is an accredited training practice.  This means that sometimes we will have fully qualified doctors working with us who are undertaking three years of additional medical education and training in order to specialise as a General Practitioner. These doctors are known as GP Registrars.

In addition, from time to time, undergraduate medical students are seconded to the surgery. They usually sit in with the Doctors during consultations but the patient is not obliged to consent to a student being present.
